My mom's having outpatient surgery on Monday. It's routine but I figure positive energy never hurts. :))))))))
Very thoughful and very true. On the other hand, my hubby, Rich, is a teacher. He is out to our friends and such, and most of his co-workers realize it, he is not officially "out" to the administration. This is the South, and not quite as liberal ...
A really great, and touching video. You covered some very serious issues and are to be commended for reaching out to the community with your personal stories and struggles. Thanks for sharing.

I'm 38, single, and I finished my grad degree, studying Library & Information Science in May '08 My ultimate dream would be to become a professional actor/dancer (yes, I'm serious lollol). Baring that, I really have a passion to work in the field of Disability Studies and/or for an arts organization.
Currently, I’m working for a year with the Center for Community Inclusion & Disability Studies at the University of Maine / Orono on a grant designed to recruit more people with disabilities to service learning (volunteer) projects in Maine.
I enjoy reading (especially mysteries, biographies, disability-themed lit, & GLBTQ lit), swimming, listening to music, acting (www.ntwh.org), watching tv, dining out, spending time with friends, travel.
I am also a wheelchair user, due to Cerebral Palsy. If you like what you're reading, chat me up. :) I found out about this site from Christine Oleary, who I saw perform in Ogunquit, when I was with the Gayla conference. I'm interested in talking with & meeting people from all over, take care! :)

My friend Elizabeth has been dealing with Cancer off & on for many years. She was vacationing in St. Thomas this week when she came down with pneumonia, and is currently hospitalized.
