I always do laundry on Sunday but I can't start it until late afternoon untill my roommates leave the house.

At any rate, I was out of dryer sheets, dammit. So, I'll take the dvd's back to Blockbuster and stop at the market to pick some up. I hate doing laundry without dryer sheets; especially now when the humidity is so low. Blockbuster is on a busy corner and as I pass the intersection it's just a right turn into the driveway and I'm there.

Ok, I'm out for the count; home sick with a killer cold. The kind that started with a sore throat and dry cough. Then the next day it was heavy chested as if there were concrete blocks on you and the cough continues. Take the medicine and some Hall's for the throat. Now, cough and sore throat gone. Whew!

I remember last year when we talked about the firestorms here and so I tell the story again. While most of you may be participating in the protests and rally's across the nation (bless you); Southern California is burning up again. The nearest fire to Long Beach is 33 miles away and the smoke and ash is blowing to the ocean. As I left the house this am I was overwhelmed with smoke in the air and ash everywhere. Tombythesea has posted a blog about the march on Prop 8 in Long Beach; you have got to the watch the video he posted there! It is incredible!!! Here is a guy that is truly dedicated and devoted to our civil rights. Tom is going to go far; not just in our community but across the gay nation.
